Important Notice for Late Night Arrival Guests at Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives: Seaplane services only operate during daylight hours, any international flight arriving at Male during the hours of darkness (approximately from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.) will require guests to spend an overnight in Male Atoll before transferring to Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives on the next day (Guests should remember to change the check-in date at Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives to compensate for the layover). By this, Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives would be delighted to assist all late night arrival guests with this chargeable overnight accommodation service at Holiday Inn Male, our partner hotel in the capital city of Male. The Holiday Inn Male airport staff will meet you from your arriving flights and assist with your transfer via public boat service with a 10 minute transfer time to Holiday Inn Male. The next day, the Holiday Inn Male staff will provide boat transfer back to the airport for you where Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives staff will assist you to the seaplane terminal.

All Late Night Arrival Guests at Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives is required to fill up the Online Late Night Arrival Guest Form below before your arrivals or as soon as you know the full arrival flight details to the Male International Airport. Our staff will respond and offer a special quotation for this overnight accommodation for your particular travel dates. Domestic Seaplane Transfer Services by Maldivian Air Taxi (MAT) - Luggage Allowance:

  • Free Luggage Allowance: 20 kgs per passenger
  • Free Hand Luggage Allowance: 5 kgs per passenger
  • Maximum Permissible Weight for any Single Piece of Luggage: 32 kgs per passenger (any luggage weighing in excess of 32 kgs will be required to be repacked before acceptance at check-in)
  • Overweight Luggage: Passengers are welcome to carry additional luggage in excess of your free luggage allowance, and understandably we charge USD 4 per kg for return trip. The luggage will be forwarded on the first available flight and may not be transported on the same flight as the passengers' travel.
