Chef's Story
Chef La-Ong Saengvosa
Our Thai-specialty Chef, popularly known to many as Chef Wow, started her passionate journey in cooking at the age of 20 and was inspired by Chef Chumpon Jangprai (Managing Director, MSC Thai Cuisine Academy). She started her culinary career in prestigious properties like The Emerald Hotel Bangkok, Novotel Lotus Bangkok and Sheraton Grand Sukhumvit Bangkok. Chef Wow had the pleasure of showcasing her culinary skills to a number of high-profile personalities and celebrities who have all praised her authentic Thai cuisine.
Her career continued to blossom after joining Centara Grand Island Resort and Spa, Maldives. She has brought her wealth of knowledge and expertise in her role heading Centara’s Signature Thai Restaurant, Suan Bua. Chef Wow’s warm and delightful personality definitely “wows” staff and guests alike. Her comprehensive culinary expertise is also admired and sought after by guests who book her Thai Cooking Class. For Chef Wow, cooking must always be done with love. Keeping a happy and positive attitude and believing in oneself are the keys to achieving your life goals.
