Centara Appoints New Vice President of Sales

Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand's leading hotel operator, has promoted Jurairat Mongkolwongsiri to the position of Vice President of Sales.

Jurairat has been with Centara for 20 years, having joined the company in 2002 as Director of Sales (International) before later holding positions as Group Director of Sales and Assistant Vice President of Sales.

Jurairat has 28 years of experiences in hospitality Industry (hotel, convention, and project management) as well as consumer luxury brand management. During her 20 years with Centara, she has witnessed the company grow from 7 hotels to 91 hotels and resorts across Thailand and internationally, and she has been instrumental in the development and implementation of sales strategies fundamental to that business growth.

In her new role, she will lead the Sales division whilst also overseeing the Revenue Management and Distribution functions, proactively and strategically driving business to achieve the companys commercial goals.

Jurairat will report directly to Thirayuth Chirathivat, CEO of Centara Hotels & Resorts. “Jurairat’s promotion is recognition of her dedication and commitment to Centara and hard work in driving sales across our entire business. With 28 years of industry experience, her expertise in hospitality (Hotel, Convention, and Project Management) as well as consumer luxury brand management will continue to prove invaluable to Centara as we push to become a top 100 global hotel operator,” Thirayuth said.

Centara continues to introduce its unique brand of Thai-style hospitality to new destinations in Thailand and the Middle East. More expansion is planned as the company intends to double its properties with new hotels and resorts expected in Japan, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Laos, the Maldives, Qatar, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
