Step outside and Bai Tu Long Bay is simply there. The quieter, unspoilt twin of Ha Long, this pristine marine sanctuary unfolds in a labyrinth of emerald waters, towering limestone karsts and hidden coves, and its gateway, Ao Tien International Harbour, lies just a three-minute drive from the hotel. No other resort in Quang Ninh places the bay this close.

Here, nature remains perfectly preserved, offering a rare sense of privacy and quiet. It is a world where time slows, inviting you to take in panoramic vistas, capture remarkable photography, or simply drift with the rhythm of the sea. This is the setting for your island escape.

Bay Cruises & Island Adventures

Cruises and day boats depart directly from Ao Tien Harbour, moments from the hotel. Glide past limestone islands on a private charter, kayak through quiet coves, or join The Beauty of Van Don cruise through the bay's untouched landscapes, including the waters of Bai Tu Long National Park, Vietnam's first national park to protect both land and sea.

Further out, the open sea islands each keep their own rhythm. Ngoc Vung rewards a slower crossing with near empty beaches, while Co To, 60 to 90 minutes by fast boat, is celebrated for clear water, fresh seafood and fishing village life.

Where Vietnam First Met the World

Long before the modern port, these same waters carried the trade of an empire. Founded in 1149 under King Ly Anh Tong, Van Don was Vietnam's first international seaport, where ceramics, spices and silver crossed between Dai Viet, China, Japan and beyond for six centuries. Today the Ancient Trade Port is recognised as a Special National Monument, its wharf traces still visible on the islands of Quan Lan, Cong Dong and Cong Tay. To stay here is to stay at the point where Vietnam first opened to the world.

Timeless Culture & Spirit

Around 15 minutes from the hotel, Cai Bau Pagoda (Truc Lam Giac Tam Zen Monastery) rests where mountain meets sea, a quiet sanctuary for reflection with sweeping views over the bay. Some 35 minutes away, Cua Ong Temple, itself a Special National Monument, honours the Tran dynasty generals who defended these waters, and comes alive each spring with one of the region's great festivals.

Vibrant Local Life

The authentic spirit of Van Don is minutes away. At Ao Tien Harbour, fishing boats, local vendors and daily harbour life play out against the open waterfront. In Cai Rong town, about 15 minutes by car, the fish market brings the region's seafood culture to life; arrive at dawn for the liveliest trade.
