Thaibreak Festival
Perched 20km south of Koh Chang and 40km from the mainland, Koh Chang offers up a slice of paradise for those looking to get away from the bustle of Thailand’s busier beach destinations. The island is only 16km2 in size, boasting an abundance of deserted beaches and local, family-run restaurants. Koh Mak, therefore, offers the perfect backdrop to melt into the relaxed vibe of a more intimate music festival, which is exactly what Thaibreak Festival delivers.
Â
Thaibreak Festival
This boutique festival takes place over a period of three days and four nights in late March, where visitors can enjoy a line-up of outstanding electronic music, plus beach and boat parties. The line-up is always impressive, putting on sets from international and local artists. Thanks to the limited number of tickets available (only 500), the festival benefits from an intimate, more exclusive feel than other beach-based music festivals.
Beyond the exceptional musical line-up, there’s plenty of activities for revellers to enjoy around the festival programme. Everyone is catered for, whether you’re looking for active pursuits like Muay Thai and kayaking, or laid back pastimes like yoga, Thai massages and cooking classes.

Getting to Koh Mak
Thanks to regular speedboat services from the mainland to Koh Mak, making your way to ThaiBreak Festival is fairly straightforward. The last speedboat transfer leaves Laem Ngob Pier on the Trat mainland at 4 pm each day, so it’s worth factoring that into your travel schedule. For more information on getting to and from the festival, head to the organisers’ official website www.thaibreak-festival.com
