Thank you Mr. Paul Gern wieder

    First stop on Ko Samui
Our first stop on Ko Samui was well picked because we wanted some peace and relaxing before traveling the island. Centara Villas was perfect as ist is beside the main Hotspot of the island. Beautiful beach and calm atmosphere made us relax immediately. We used the shuttle service to Lamai and it was without any problems. Good and cheap service! Breakfast was small but enough to choose from for a good start in the day. Dinner at the restaurant was super and the drinks from the bar as well. Villa with spa was big and a bit beside the ways. Only slight negative thing to mention is the overall condition of the villa and some facilities. There is a renovation or fresh up necessary.

    Amazing
Centara is amazing. The staff are fantastic, particularly Anu in Reef Cafe and all the ladies in Spa Cenvaree. The Spa is heavenly, from the smell when you step inside, the welcome, the preparation for treatment and of course the treatment itself and the drink and biscuit before you exit is incredible a real way to relax your senses and your body. My husband and I have stayed here every year since 2013 (except during covid) it is our home away from home. Food, service, assistance, facilities and the room are great. Don't let the stairs put you off, there's plenty of places to stop and enjoy incredible scenery if you need to pause.

    Secluded honeymoon vacation
I love the location, surrounding and the welcoming staff. Old property, but well maintained. Private beach is a plus item. Lovely place to chill and relax. Bike rental we can get through the hotel, so no deposit required and they don't take your passport as the bike rental company will do.

    Amazing Songkran Holiday
The stay was amazing with a perfect view of the sea. The way to your room from different common areas can be confusing but other than that it is a perfect place for a private experience. The entire team at the resort were very welcoming and friendly.

Enjoyable stay at a lovely resort
If you are fine with a quieter stay, away from the extra noise and people of north and east coasts, then this is a great place to be in a lovely location! All needs were met, and when there was one small problem one night the speed of response and effort to make amends was highly commendable and appreciated. It was a return visit for me and if I ever found myself back in that area of Thailand I'd stay again. The staff were wonderful, and I've missed the beautiful breakfast spot ever since I left! Thank you Centara...

    Too many steps
The hotel itself is great, however a bit far from the Centre of Samui so you have to get some kind of transport. Even the laundry is too far to walk especially considering the very steep hill you have to climb. Ask about the "all inclusive" deal if you just want to relax at the hotel.

Lush Green Tranquil Oasis on the Beach - My Pro's and Con's
I booked here because I wanted a relaxing retreat style get away for just myself. I'm an outdoor enthusiast and a Professional Engineer PRO's Lush green resort full of beautiful plants Relaxed, colonel style architecture that's easy on the eye (nothing too modern, bling or in your face) Large and comfy beds Own beach which is cleaned daily at 6am Very clean pool Villas are set on the hillside and mine had a view of the sea and sunrise It never seems very busy - it almost feels a bit quiet at times Free to use Kayaks and life jackets Always fresh fruit at breakfast Friendly and welcoming staff Subtitle yet very effective security - your hire bike or car is safe The beach here and (the ones further round to the south) are sheltered from the wind if it gets up. I could sunbath here while 4 miles north at Lamai my hat was blown away Away from the sex selling bars at night CON's If you get restless and want to leave the resort, you WILL need to hire a car or motorbike. The advertised shuttle bus service is very ad-hoc and cannot be relied upon Limited Veggie and Vegan options thought the kitchen will substitute with tofu in some dishes The menu on the website has the wrong prices - the prices in the resort are all £1-2 per dish More Expensive The entertainment is a bit half hearted.... there's something about the atmosphere which is reserved so things never really get going The bicycles where UNSAFE - 1 had zero braking ability, another had very little and the seat was broken. The last one had some braking ability but the seat was stuck in the low position - 1* bikes in a 4* hotel. Check the brakes work before you go down the hill. General Advice If you want to see anything anywhere on the island you will need transport. If your budget allows that can be taxi's but otherwise rent a car or bike. If you are here for a week, rent a bike for the last 5 days. It will cost you £40 - £50 and make a world of difference. The hotel can arrange them. However, bikes are not always available at short notice - I strongly advise contacting the hotel in advance and pre-booking a bike so you are sure you'll have one, Also, it will be in the car park ready for you... you'll save half a day of faff and stress trying to get to a hire shop and renting a bike - it's a win - win no barainer Bring plenty of CASH. I got a much better rate in the UK and much of Samui only takes cash. All the rooms have safes and I never felt the risk of robbery at all, anywhere, ever.
