Lush Green Tranquil Oasis on the Beach - My Pro's and Con's
I booked here because I wanted a relaxing retreat style get away for just myself. I'm an outdoor enthusiast and a Professional Engineer PRO's Lush green resort full of beautiful plants Relaxed, colonel style architecture that's easy on the eye (nothing too modern, bling or in your face) Large and comfy beds Own beach which is cleaned daily at 6am Very clean pool Villas are set on the hillside and mine had a view of the sea and sunrise It never seems very busy - it almost feels a bit quiet at times Free to use Kayaks and life jackets Always fresh fruit at breakfast Friendly and welcoming staff Subtitle yet very effective security - your hire bike or car is safe The beach here and (the ones further round to the south) are sheltered from the wind if it gets up. I could sunbath here while 4 miles north at Lamai my hat was blown away Away from the sex selling bars at night CON's If you get restless and want to leave the resort, you WILL need to hire a car or motorbike. The advertised shuttle bus service is very ad-hoc and cannot be relied upon Limited Veggie and Vegan options thought the kitchen will substitute with tofu in some dishes The menu on the website has the wrong prices - the prices in the resort are all £1-2 per dish More Expensive The entertainment is a bit half hearted.... there's something about the atmosphere which is reserved so things never really get going The bicycles where UNSAFE - 1 had zero braking ability, another had very little and the seat was broken. The last one had some braking ability but the seat was stuck in the low position - 1* bikes in a 4* hotel. Check the brakes work before you go down the hill. General Advice If you want to see anything anywhere on the island you will need transport. If your budget allows that can be taxi's but otherwise rent a car or bike. If you are here for a week, rent a bike for the last 5 days. It will cost you £40 - £50 and make a world of difference. The hotel can arrange them. However, bikes are not always available at short notice - I strongly advise contacting the hotel in advance and pre-booking a bike so you are sure you'll have one, Also, it will be in the car park ready for you... you'll save half a day of faff and stress trying to get to a hire shop and renting a bike - it's a win - win no barainer Bring plenty of CASH. I got a much better rate in the UK and much of Samui only takes cash. All the rooms have safes and I never felt the risk of robbery at all, anywhere, ever.

    Very nice hotel, wonderful staff
We loved our stay at Centara. Lovely green place, beautiful view. The staff is very helpful and nice. The rooms are beautiful, not very big but perfect for a week. The only thing we missed was good coffee at the breakfast bar.

Beautiful Hotel on a Beautiful Beach
    - Clean, Spacious and Airy Rooms - Excellent Cuisine and a variety of options during the breakfast buffet / bar restaurant - Kind Staff who were very helpful with enquiries about the hotel and the surrounding area - Would highly recommend a car if visiting the island as the hotel’s a bit far from supermarkets although taxis / minibuses are available - On the doorstep of a quiet, local beach with stunning views Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Thank you Centara!

    Third Time Stayer
Love the place has everything and because it’s out of the way you have the beach virtually for the guests only not walking vendors. Unfortunately COVID 19 has taken its toll on nearby restaurants and bars as they were mostly closed

Perfect Resort with kind and friendly staff
Our four night stay at Centara was perfect. We felt very looked after even prior to check in. We had a late change to our arrival and were still met seamlessly at the airport for our transfer. The staff was so kind and helpful booking our taxis and providing advice. The resort and outlook were exquisite. Room spacious and spotless. Restaurant had Thai and Western options, both of which were delicious. Three pool options, a tranquil spa service. A truly beautiful experience. Thank you so mucu.

Long way from any action isolated beach location
I would recommend this hotel if you just want to stay in the resort only. It was a long way from the main road and expensive to go anywhere. It would be great if they offered a free shuttle anywhere. The rooms are built on the hillside so plenty of stairs to climb up and down. If you are looking for a resort to sit in a chair and read a book it’s a perfect location.

A bit worn off, but nonetheless lovely!
The extremely friendly and helpful staff makes up for any signs of wear and tear (which are also constantly been dealt with) in this resort, food & drinks and all other services are good value for money. The place is a bit remote, so you will need to rent a car or scooter, but if you are looking for a calm retreat, this is the place to go. We enjoyed our stay very much, thank you, Centara staff!

    Summer vacation at Koh Samui
Great and friendly staff. The room was huge, clean. Spa villa room type has a bath tub on the balcony which is cool. Highly privacy. For the food, varieties of breakfast. At dinner try "Tom kha kai". Coral beach can snorkeling so don't forget to bring goggles with you!! Highly recommended for those who want to take some rest.

Recommendable for families with kids and people who want calm and recreative vacations
We had only good ecperiences with the team of Centara Villas Samui. The hotel was very clean and beautiful, the spa is great! The problem was the layer of the facility: It is far away from many great places on Samui and you have to rent a car/motocycle or book tours to see many of them. The hotel itself facilitates many opportunities to help you visit other places. Also this part of the sea isn‘t very good because of the stones and rocks in the water. But the beach itself is very nice and the 3 pools are great and very clean.

    Our honeymoon in Koh Samui
Our stay at Centara Villas was amazing for our honeymoon. The staff went above and beyond for us during our trip. We especially loved the staff at the Reef Cafe, who remembered us every day, and knew which food we liked to order. We were truly sad to say goodbye to them, because they made our time there so amazing. We will definitely be coming back in the future, and would recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing retreat.

    Beautiful, but isolated
Beautiful hotel, kind staf, perfect wifi. If you want to relax at the beach or the pool, this is the place. However, its very isolated and taxi's are expensive and time-locked. So if you want to do and see something of the island, or eat somewhere else, i would look for another place.

    Our third return trip
Excellent holiday, I would recommend Centara Villas without pause. This was our third trip and I was concerned as this was first post COVID holiday, we had support from the team pre arrival in dealing with requirements for Thailand pass which was really appreciated. Once we arrived we couldn't fault anything. The team headed up by Anu welcomed us back like old friends and the service we received was amazing. I would also like to shout out to Pu,Pom,Ao,Noodang and Ked to name but a few. Everyone takes pride in what they do. COVID restrictions made us feel very safe throughout. We will be back. Fantastic holiday great service and such a friendly atmosphere
