  One week's stay by a solo traveller

  I stayed at Centara Kata Resort, Phuket, for a week as part of a package deal. The resort placed me in a Garden View Room (bungalow) which was located away from the large Family / child friendly pool part of the resort. This bungalow provided me with all the holiday essentials plus the privacy of no kids around. I was able to walk to a 7/11 shop, small local bars, small local food places, money exchange and the local massage place "Sunshine Massage" which was friendly and clean. The access to Kata Beach is a walk of 20 minutes but its flat so no real issues. Its 400 to 500 baht to Patong Beach's Bangala Rd in a tut tut for serious partying and the Centara Resort is "girl" friendly, The Resort's staff are wonderfull. Not the most modern trendy place but I can get that at home. Had a great time with no hassell's

  Family trip

  Lovely resort . Everything you need was right there . Free shuttle leaving every hour to take you to beach and we stayed in the double room down by pool . Very roomy and comfy. Will be back definitely in the future

  Always good to be back,again.

  Always nice be there, lovely place and a staff helpful in any way they can. In reception was Nan the Frontmanager and her very nice staff. And the restaurant with Jeab the manager and Aoy- Mark and all her other staff. The kitchen chef Negk with her staff. Have a lot of fun there.

  Awesome Resort, great location.

  Everything was amazing at this resort, staff very friendly, clean rooms, food amazing, awesome location, close too everything you need, you can organize tours, lots of street food near by which is delicious and lots of restaurants, lots of entertainment close to resort, lots of money change outlets, or if you don't won't to leave the resort everything at your finger tips.

  A chance to refresh

  Wedding present 6 weeks married. Upcoming 60th birthday. Will definitely come again. Trusting staff. Your belongings are safe. Place is extremely clean with no litter outside. They make you feel very welcome. Friendly people

  For the love of nature

  Experience life, love and nature, friendly people with humanity at its best. This is how I can explain my recent trip to Thailand Phuket. Hot day, Rain falling and yet, you enjoy every moment of it. Be ready for a massage around every corner, food at its best with a lot of out of the ordinary fruits. Dragon fruit one them, two colors, different litchi, that we loved.

  Centres the heart of Kata

  We loved our stay at Centara! The staff were so friendly. A huge thank you to Lai and the bellboy team. Always going above and beyond. The hospitality was superb, Aoy, Sam, Mark and Flok you rock 🙌 Centara was so close to the walking markets, the beaches, delicious restaurants such as Eightfold.And don't forget the massages Yaya Sirada massage.🫶

  Thank you for looking after us so well. Great value for money. Special thanks to all staff and to Phan and Mild Mimjw for helping us. We felt very safe and well cared for. Lots of options to explore and the sort ride on the shuttle bus from the resort to the beach was fanstic on the really hot days.

  Beautiful & safe resort

  I found the grounds were lovely, with beautiful plants and several different areas to walk or sit. I was solo but felt relaxed & happy. I always swim daily and all 3 pools were superb & larger than expected. The children’s areas looked nice, my daughters would have loved them when they were little. The only area I didn’t investigate was the fitness zone. All staff including security personnel were friendly & attentive. 1 small detail is bedside lights too dim to read.

  My holiday

  Such a beautiful resort with amazing and friendly staff!! The pool is gorgeous, the food is unbelievable the rooms are spacious, the area is just perfect if you don't want to be stuck with countless tourists everywhere and noisy parties every night. Everything is close by and Patong is just a quick drive away

  Great Holiday

  Although it was start of the rainy season, we had very good time for first 5 days, the last two days just rained very heavy during daytime. It was still 30 degrees, had a chill out time by the pool, breakfast was normal, same every day, we found it was a bit expensive to eat out, prices were up every where, room & service was ok. Staff very nice & helpful. Some places outside was a struggle as they did not understand English, but managed ok. Our room was right at the back of the hotel, was a bit of a walk from the main reception. Overall it was ok, we would not be in a hurry to return again. Thank you Centara for your service.

  A great stay

  We booked a week long package through Jetstar Australia for only $600 pp inclusive of flights and accommodation. Given that price, we were dubious about the accommodation. I am quite OCD when it comes to hotel accommodation and I tend to scroll through countless TripAdvisor and YouTube reviews. Overall the reviews were favourable concerning Centara. I found it difficult to get a good understanding of its proximity to the things I enjoy, which is the beach, good authentic Thai food and clean no sex massage shops. In this review I want to make it clear all the above is within easy walking distance. Except good authentic Thai food. The food at the markets up the road is not good. We did not try dinner at the hotel. We wish we had as it looked much better than what we found in our quest for great authentic Thai dishes. We hired a bike for 200 baht per day and added to our experience by riding to several other locations in Phuket. Parking for the bike is available at Centara. We had intended to move from Centara to another hotel upon arrival due to proximity if it was too far or not nice. On both accounts we became more than satisfied with Centara. We have travelled the world extensively and as my partner is Thai we have also travelled Thailand. However we had not been to Phuket for many years. The staff at Centara are unlike any hotel staff I have encountered before. They become like family or friends. They are empowered by their management to be themselves so you get to meet the many personalities that make up the staff. They feel confident to get in and get to know you. Nothing is a bother. They are just so helpful. Especially Nan on the front desk. The only downside to the hotel is it is in need of a renovation. That does not detract from its cleanliness or the way it is maintained. COVID-19 would push budgets to renovate back years I could imagine. With a renovation this hotel would be stunning. That aside it is stunning based alone on its staff
