About Centara Grand Hotel Osaka

Thailand's Central Group's most luxurious hotel, Centara Grand Hotel Osaka, made its grand debut in Japan in July 2023. Located in one of the city's most vibrant entertainment and shopping districts, this hotel boasts a spectacular rooftop restaurant with a panoramic view of the city of Osaka. Bound to become a famous new landmark in Osaka, Centara Grand Hotel Osaka is a masterpiece of contemporary architecture located in the heart of Namba. This 33-story hotel features 515 guest rooms, including suites and connecting rooms, and a spacious Club Lounge on the 32nd floor that offers a higher level of service and comfort.

We are an international hotel catering to serve both business and leisure guests. At Centara, we provide locally relevant, Thai-inspired experiences in each of our destinations. Our traditional family values will remain in the heart of everything we do across all brands. We blend the cultures of Japan and Thailand and incorporated the best of each into the hotel’s services and products. Located in Namba, the heart of Osaka, the hotel is conveniently accessible from the station and within walking distance of commercial facilities and tourist attractions.

Can I work here even if I don't speak English?

The company’s internal languages are English and Japanese. English is required at certain positions such as the front desk and the restaurants where we serve guests from overseas. In some cases, not only guests but also team members are foreign nationals, so English proficiency will broaden your field of activity. Even if you are not good at English now, we plan to provide in-house training, so there is no problem if you are willing to communicate.

Is there diversity in the workplace?

As an international hotel, diversity is an important part of who we are. We believe embracing and understanding all diversity among our team members is essential.

Are there any opportunities to work overseas?

First, you can demonstrate your abilities at Centara Grand Hotel Osaka, and then, if the opportunity arises, we can support you in working in Thailand or other overseas group hotels, depending on the needs and availability of the host company.

What are the benefits for staff?

We provide various types of social insurance, and all transportation expenses are paid (up to 50,000 yen). We offer free Wi-Fi and also special employee rates for accommodations and restaurants at group hotels. A retirement allowance system is also provided.

What facilities are available for staff in the building?

There is an employee cafeteria (equipped with Wi-Fi) where you can dine up to two meals per day. In addition, there are clean locker rooms and sleeping rooms.

Can I request working hours and days?

Shift-based departments try to schedule shifts based on each team member’s preference as much as possible. Back-office departments such as Human Resources, Accounting, and Sales are generally on weekdays and off on Saturdays and Sundays. There are 114 days off per year, and paid vacations (10 days in the first year) can be taken in half-day increments.

What is the selection process?

After screening documents, you will be interviewed online or in person (multiple times). If you pass all interviews, your official offer of employment will be provided.
